Bike for Books Annual Fundraiser - GOES ON HIATUS IN 2019 !!
Thanks to everyone who joined us in 2018 for Bike for Books!
We had a great turnout and lots of happy participants who had wonderful things to say about our event:
“I want to thank you again for including a longer easier course for us “not so experienced” mountain bikers. We had a fun day on the ‘High Fun Factor, Low Fear Factor’- route. My husband John and I had lots of fun and enjoyed the camaraderie and the eats! And we slept very well Saturday night!”
Pat Higgins, Glen, member MWV Bicycling Club
“We did the new, longer EZ ride and WE LOVED IT! It re-kindled our love of mountain biking with a High Fun Factor (HFF) and a Low Fear Factor (LFF) route. Thank you so much for putting on an awesome event.”
Laurel Smith, Jackson
“Thank you for a fantastic day of cycling and enjoying the beautiful trails! I am already looking forward to next year!“
Ellin Booras, member MWV Bicycling Club
“The event was awesome. Loved the trail - I took the intermediate one. Food was awesome and heard about the event for the past 2 years on Magic 104.5 radio station. Can’t wait for next year."
Todd Whitehouse, Bartlett,
Hope to see you all again next year!
“Bike for Books Mountain Bike Adventure Rides” is a day of mountain biking fun and an annual fundraiser for the North Conway Public Library. It's a great opportunity for mountain bikers of all levels and abilities to explore the trails and terrain along well-marked routes in North Conway and the White Mountains.
North Conway serves up some of the best riding in New Hampshire. For over a decade, NEMBA has been working to create a wonderful assortment of trails for beginners and experts alike. So whether it's cruising along gently wooded fire roads, biking on single tracks through magnificent forests, along rivers, around picturesque ponds, or negotiating the technical rocky descents on the edge of the White Mountains, there is something for everyone.
Several route options will be marked for all levels of riders, from novice to expert and some kid-friendly family loops, too. You can ride for an hour or do the epic ride with all the technically challenging hero options which takes about 4 to 6 hours for even the strongest riders. Have fun learning new trails at your own pace- on your own or with a group of your friends.
After the ride, join other riders for the included pizza lunch, hot soup, fresh coffee, and delicious desserts.
Bike for Books is a fundraiser for the North Conway Library and fundraising by participants is encouraged with prizes for top fundraisers.
We hope you'll join us in 2019!
