The North Conway Public Library collection is continually updated: new books are added while older, unused or outdated books are being removed.

The collection includes usually at least 65-70% of the books on the current New York Times Bestsellers list.

New fiction is in the bookcase to the left of the librarian's desk in the main room. Fiction less than 6 months old is called "Rental Book" and is charged $1 per week to ensure higher turnover. The money generated from this is used to buy more new titles.

New Nonfiction is displayed on the big curvy table in the main room and on the fireplace mantle.
