The North Conway Public Library collection is continually updated with new books added and older, unused or outdated books removed.
The collection includes usually at least 60-70% of the books on the current New York Times Bestsellers list.
New fiction is in the bookcase to the left of the librarian's desk in the main room. Fiction less than 6 months old is called "Rental Book" and is charged $1 per week to ensure higher turnover. The money generated from this is used to buy more new titles.
New Nonfiction is displayed on the big curvy table in the main room and on the fireplace mantle.
